UEFISCDI is a public institution in Romania operating under the authority of the Ministry of National Education and Research. It serves as the main national funding agency for higher education, scientific research, development and innovation, coordinating programmes of the National Plan for Research, Development and Innovation and supporting projects with national and European funding. UEFISCDI also assists advisory councils in higher education and research policy, and contributes to strengthening Romania’s research and innovation ecosystem through strategic initiatives and international collaboration.
