Eurodoc Board Meeting and SECURE2 Workshops Held at Cracow University of Technology

On 30–31 January 2026, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Cracow University of Technology hosted a meeting of the Board of the European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers (Eurodoc), combined with workshops implemented within the SECURE2 project, of which Eurodoc is a project partner.

The event was organized with the support of Prof. dr hab. eng. Brand S. Kozienia, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and Prof. dr hab. eng. Sebastian Skoczypca, Head of the Department of Engineering and Production Automation.

During the meeting in Kraków, Eurodoc Board members participated in workshops dedicated to the SECURE2 project, focusing on key challenges and opportunities related to research careers in Europe.

Key SECURE2 activities include:

  • pilot implementation of the ERCF in European research-performing institutions,
  • development of individually tailored action plans,
  • co-creation of solutions involving researchers, research managers and administrative staff,
  • strengthening cooperation between academic and non-academic sectors.

Hosting the Eurodoc Board meeting and SECURE2 workshops represents another important international event highlighting the Cracow University of Technology’s commitment to shaping modern, sustainable and attractive research career paths in Europe.

Eurodoc is a European federation bringing together 28 organizations of PhD candidates and early-career researchers from 25 countries. Founded in 2002 and based in Brussels, Eurodoc represents the interests of young researchers at the European level and actively contributes to policy dialogue with institutions responsible for research, higher education and innovation. Its mission is to strive for positive changes in policies, organizational culture and working environments that affect the quality of education, well-being and employment conditions of early-career researchers.
