The Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) Annual Conference 2025 will take place on March 21-22 at AGH University in Kraków, Poland, in a hybrid format. A series of satellite events will also be held on March 19-20 at the same venue.
Under the theme “Research and Innovation in a Rapidly Evolving World,” the conference will explore the role of science, innovation, education, and lifelong learning in addressing global challenges. With over 22,000 members across 155 countries, MCAA serves as a key network driving research policy and innovation.

The event will bring together researchers, policymakers, academic leaders, and industry experts to discuss crucial topics, including research assessment, artificial intelligence, open science, ethics, diversity, mental health, sustainability, science communication, and the future of global research careers and mobility. Notable speakers include:
- Manuel Heitor, Chair of the Expert Group on the interim evaluation of Horizon Europe
- Maria Leptin, President of the European Research Council
- Paweł Rowiński, President of the All European Academies
- Lidia Borrell-Damian, Secretary General of Science Europe
- Prof. Moniek Tromp, President of the Initiative for Science in Europe
As an MCAA partner, the SECURE project will be present at the conference, contributing to discussions on advancing research careers. A dedicated session will address key topics related to research mobility and career development, aligning with SECURE’s mission. Additionally, SECURE will have a presence at the event with an exhibition booth.
